Grumpy’s Highlight of the week: Giving back to our community. Orange Park native and super producer Vinny D joins Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in the Bahamas by sending over 200 meals for those who were devastated by the storm.
“Just over a week ago, Hurricane Dorian barreled towards the state of Florida and we prepared for the worst,” he said. “Although Florida was lucky, we know that our neighbors in the Bahamas took the brunt of this dangerous storm.” Vinny attended Fleming Island High and took his talents to South Beach there after to chase his music dreams, Vinny said this last year is when things began to pay off earning 29 RIAA platinum song certifications in 2018 alone. “We were lucky to be spared here in Miami as well as my family in Jacksonville, but what happened in the Bahamas could of happened anywhere across the east coast. I took this opportunity to help those in need it’s the least I could do during these trying times.”
Grumpy wants to shed light on the people making a difference both locally and nationwide. Feel free to write us if you think someone should be recognized for going above and beyond,
